Brian, Michelle: Per Action Items list, Birgit and I were to provide some analyses to the major institutional/process changes ensuing from Rio +20 at the global level. Attached please find our first-cut offerings for same regarding UNEP and the newly created High Level Political Forum (HLPF). We`re not sure if this is what you had in mind. Please advise if you wish us to provide additional info or to rework these... Tom

ACTIONS

· L. Perenius will contact a CEFIC member association located in Eastern Europe and request that they participate in the SAICM regional meeting scheduled for23 to 27 September 2013 in Macedonia. (invitation and registration form attached)

· R. Garcia andM. Orfei will register to attend the Latin American and Caribbean SAICM regional meeting, August 19-23 in Mexico City. M. Orfei will e-mail Abiquim requesting that they also send a representative to the LAC SAICM regional meeting.(Update: e-mail sent to Nicia & Mariana requesting Abiquim participation)

· L. Perenius will forward the name/contact information of the CEFIC lead on Aarhus Convention.

· B. Doll andP. Bever will contact UNEP chemicals and propose convening a workshop on Lead in Paint & Product Stewardship.

· M. Orfei will forward the July 2013 IPPIC letter to the SAICM Secretariat regarding Lead in Paint. (attached)

· B. Doll noted that T. Kasten will speak with WHO reps to discuss convening a meeting/workshop with industry reps on technical matters/inconsistencies in the UNEP/WHO report on EDCs. ICCA`s Health Group will lead this effort and Brian Doll will liaise between the Health Group and the Advocacy TF.

· M. Orfei will speak with S. Looijs to discuss path forward regarding UNEP/SAICM CIP. (Update: call set for July 24)

· The CP&H Advocacy TF has been asked to develop a position paper and strategy on SDGs (in coordination with the E&CC LG).M. Orfei will organize the conference call for the week of July 15. (Update: call set for July 18)

· T. Jacob will develop a SWOT analysis on the Post Rio Institutional challenges.

· T. Jacob andB. Engelhard will develop a background document and analysis on the Post Rio Institutional challenges.

· M. Orfei will forward the PowerPoint slides / update on UNEP chemicals conventions. (attached)

· The CP&H Advocacy TF will discuss developments relating to the UNEP chemicals convention at their next conference call.

· M. Orfei will forward the updated accountability matrix.(attached)

· L. Perenius will ask R. Baio to ensure all TF members have a username/password for ICCA-Connect.

· M. Orfei will forward the e-mail regarding a proposed workshop on sustainability reporting. (attached)

· Task Force members agreed to continue discussion of what industry considers to be success in the SAICM context.M. Orfei will forward PowerPoint slides on the SAICM consultation questions.(attached)
