Subject: Call for the participation to the second phase cLCA TF

To ICCA E&CC LG/ cLCA Best Practice TF

 

Dear all,

 

ICCA E&CC LG and WBCSD Chemical sector have jointly developed and  published “Addressing the Avoided Emissions Challenge” last October.

After publishing this Guideline, GHG Protocol, UNEP SBCI and Japanese LCA Academia are interested in considering Avoided Emissions.

It is very important for ICCA to utilize the guideline for the evaluation of the contribution on reducing GHG Emissions through Products and to show the best practice to the public.

 

Considering the above background, ICCA E&CC LG agreed the former cLCA best practice Taskforce would be dissolved to form second phase cLCA Taskforce.

Please find attached the "Charter of cLCA Taskforce (2nd phase)" and

"Proposed Business plan on #1 of the objectives in the Charter

-Case study project in cLCA Taskforce (2nd phase)-".

 

If you are interested in contributing as a member of cLCA Taskforce, please send your name, affiliation and e-mail address to Ms. Reiko Nonaka (rnonaka@jcia-net.or.jp), ICCA E&CC LG Secretariat by Friday 19th September.

 

The kick-off teleconference is planned to be held around the beginning of October.
